I’d been keeping a keen eye on The Curtain’s Up when it closed for a refurb to see what would happen to it. Before, it was an echoey alright bar next to the theatre (which I’ve not been to) but there wasn’t a lot more you could say about it. Now, since re-opening the outside is mossy green and they’ve got some nice plants that up the tone. Which must have attracted the white Porsche in front of it which is a beauty and appears everywhere I look in West Kensington – one day, one day. The inside is a more plush affair with stripped floors and high roof roar quietening rugs, plus a great wine list – perfect for a quiet night’s drink. Chef’s Kiss!
