To chef’s surprise, the other morning an iridescent electric purple came out of the shampoo bottle. Sue had bought John Frieda Tone Refresh which contains lavender, and the fascinating unnatural hue is magical every time I see it – it’s quite nice in your hair too.
Spurred on by this discovery, I decided to polish up my looks after a busy few weeks at work dominated by a beauty regime of continental lager and dry roast nuts. First on the list was a new King of Shaves Azor to tidy up under the jaw and then the power coupling of good face wash and serum. With some Vichy Normaderm wash and a pump of Organix coconut oil hair serum I went from shiny forehead dull hair, to matte face and a glossy ‘do with a summer smell. Now all I need is a tan – cue sunbathing in the grounds of Fulham Palace. Chef’s Kiss!
