Happy New Year! To walk away the festive excess, Chef and Sue took to the south bank and wandered from the Design Museum along the river to the Hayward. On the way we peeked in at Tate Modern and saw Ai Weiwei’s incredible sunflower seeds installation – part of the Unilever Series – covering the vast Turbine Hall’s floor in tiny porcelain seeds, each hand-made and decorated by craftsmen in China. Together, they create an indistinct sea of grey that reveals individuality and beauty only when you crouch down by its shore. Immense. Chef’s Kiss!
