Chef’s always been a fan of old BMWs – as demonstrated by Bavarian the 6 Series (now sold on) – so an invite to BMW Art Drive caused a lot of excitement. In the NCP Great Eastern car park in Shoreditch, the ICA present six stories of pristine BMW Art Cars parked up gallery style, and the tour begins with a car lift to the top so you can work your way down. There’s quite a crop of top artists, but my favourites are Roy Lichtenstein’s sporty pop vehicle, Sandro Chia’s car of faces, Esther Mahlangu’s vibrant patterns and Ernst Fuchs’ flaming coupé. The exhibition also has great severe graphics by Julia agency. Art Drive is running for a couple of weeks. Chef’s Kiss!
